Ben Blankinship, father of three, one of the worship leaders at Lake of the Woods Church (http://lowchurch.org). We're a multidenominational church west of Fredericksburg, Virginia, with about 800 members and four services -- two traditional, one contemporary and one blended. I mainly lead the blended service, but have been filling in contemporary lately due to another leader's job change.
I sing, and have been trying to teach myself piano for years. Love Delirious, Hillsong, Tomlin, Redman, Crowder, Michael Gungor; old enough to remember Larry Norman, Keith Green and Amy Grant before she was famous. Love traditional hymns, too, which is why I get to lead the blended service. Have written 8 or 10 worship songs, one of which is used outside our congregation. Love to teach, occasionally get to preach, active in youth ministry.
Avid reader, jazz afficionado, coffee drinker and baseball fan.
