Do any of you play this song in your worship? It's from the album Beautiful News and the more I've been listening to it lately the more I have been following in love with it. What a great song of humbleness. I love the dynamics where it starts off slow and reflective then evolves into a full out song of praise.

I love this one, too, but I've been in a bind - there's at least4 songs of the new Redman and 3 songs on his protege, Tim Hughes, new cd that I'd love to introduce, and sometime a man has just got to reign himself in so as to not overwhelm people with entire sets of brand new material.

We're already doing "Happy Day" at our Youth environments, and I've recently introduced it at the Gathering Place (a local interchurch Youth ministry), but I'd love to bring it in to our Sunday morning service eventually - I also think "Living for your Glory" to be one of his most powerful worship songs since "Here I am to Worship", and carries a lot of the same feel as that song...lastly, I also love "Clinging to the Cross"...

As far as Redman goes, we're already singing "You never let Go" in our youth environments, but I'd love to hear "Yes and Amen", "Shine", "Thank you for Healing Me" in our Sunday morning service, and both "Beautiful News", "Take it to the Streets" and "All over the World" at Youth.

I guess you could say "Shannon's a fan" ;-)

ha ha ha...Im right there with you..Im constantly listening an gleaning music. Ive got like 400 CD's of killer music I want to introduce, but....and theres the but...the congregation cant handle that much newness. lol...so the hard part is narrowing down to the new stuff that I can live without. lol

I've been in that same bind when it comes to figuring out how much time should I leave between introducing new songs. When I listen to new albums by guys like Redman, Hughes, Tomlin, ect I want to play everything! So far You Never Let Go has been a huge hit in our worship service. We've been playing that one for almost 3 months now. We are currently working on a couple of songs by Aaron Shust.

How is Dancing Generation working out for you? I want to start using that for our kid's program coming up next month and then bring it over to our main service.

It's actually working out great. I have been pleasantly surprised.
I am doing it in the key of C which is a very singable key for the congregation. the last 2 times I did it I did it solo with one guitar and we ended up have people dancing down the aisles. I love it

That's awesome! I saw Matt in concert back in March and when he played Dancing that's exactlywhat every one did! He is such an amazing songwriter! Have you ever read/heard his testimoney? It's incredible...

I am currently working on Praise Habits and find it very inspiring. Crowder is an excellant writer.
I'm also studying Velvit Elvis by Rob Bell. A great book that makes you really think.

YEah velvet elvis was an interesting read. thought provoking but not earth shattering as most made it sound. Very emerging church.

make sure you pick up God songs..It helped me a ton with my writing.
