Howdy,
I am the Worship Minister for a fantastic group of people at Singing Hills Christian Church (~ 350 weekly). My family (more on them later) has been part of this church for 16 years. I have had some role on the music team for about the past 10 years and 4 years ago was asked to lead and get paid (part-time). I get the awesome privilege of preparing the music (arrangements, instrumentation, vocals, etc...) for both of the gatherings each weekend, as well as working directly with our Lead/Preaching Minister preparing our quarterly themes. We offer a "blended" gathering and a "contemporary" gathering, both on Sunday morning. I lead vocally and play the acoustic along with the rest of the team. We have about 30 people that on the music team on a rotating basis. I have no professional training, just years of experience living for God and being shaped by great mentors. Aside from the music, I share the responsibility for continually developing our website (www.singinghills.org). My family: been married for 15 years and have 3 children (girl 13, boy 9, girl 7). Hey - welcome! Great to hear from you, and look forward to getting to know you even better here in the community! Sounds like an awesome church ... and a lot of people who are involved. welcome steve. so far you have the best church name i have come across! Singing Hills...sounds kind of heavenly, but i bet it's like all our churches, more earthly than heavenly...but workin on it! great to have you sharing with us. :)
