Hey guys-

In this age, projection technology isn't really an "extra" in the church setting anymore....it's the norm. Are any of you out there using a a projector that you really like, or have had really good luck?

For me, hands down it's EIKI products. I have 17 projectors on campus, all of them except for 1 are EIKI, ranging from 2800 lumens to 12,000, and they are all solid. The 2-3 small problems I ahve had, EIKI has gone above and beyond to make it right....customer service is a big deal to me, and they do that well.

With the expansion, we are adding 6 Christie projectors, 2 6500 lumen units, and 4 3000 lumen units. Since Sanyo, EIKI, and Christie share the same projector up to 12k, I know these units will work great too.

What are you guys using? What should we stear away from?

Love to hear....

Hey Adam,

When I was at CRCSSI, we used Eiki ... and I am pretty sure we've got Christie Digital going into the new building ... a little outside my league!

We have 6 Christies going in our new building. Two 12,000 lumens in main and two smaller ones ( i think 5500 lumens) going in each of our youth and children's theaters. I spent some time with them at NAB and they are great.

I haven't had a ton of BAD experiences with projectors:
Mitsubishi has been good to us (except when dropped from 25 feet).
We have two InFocus 2500 lumens in our sanctuary now and they have been running strong for a few years now. I am starting to see lamp wear now.
I have a BenQ in youth now that is great. Another ministry I work with in town has used alot of Toshiba portables and we love them there.

Hmmm... I guess I am not much use in the thread right now. Sorry.

Hey Travis-

No, you are a great help. This thread isn't JUST for throwing up Red Flags, but also helping people see what GOOD luck you have had too. Telling of the good luck you have had with projectors is helpful too.

Keep on...
