Hey folks! I will spare you the mushy details of my personal life since they have little bearing on what we do here.:D
Currently I am the Tech. Director at St. Simons Community Church. Before that I was a freelance A/V guy and did about 50/50 church and secular business work. Before that I was the youth minister at the aforementioned church for 5 years. In some way shape or form I have been involved with planning and producing worship services/events for about 10 years.
Right now we are in the midst of a large building project and not coincidentally, also we are in the midst of transitioning from "doing the best we can with what we've got pieced together" to being a church who "tries to buy the right equipment for the job." I have strong opinions and plenty of advice on both methods!
I consider myself, as far as technology & worship goes, a "jack-of-all-trades and master-of-none." I enjoy the different aspects that my job brings and that it allows me to run live sound, do graphic design, edit videos and a ton of other little things.
I am excited to report that our church staff are in the midst of a PC-to-Mac switch. I am spending less and less time as tech support every day!
