Facebook Integration - Testing Needed

Hey Everyone,
I'm working on a FaceBook integration, and need some volunteers!

The way it should work:
1 - If you are brand new to the board, you can login with your FaceBook account and choose a userID for TheWorshipCommunity.Com

2 - If you have an existing account here on TWC, you can login with your FaceBook account if you wish, and associate it with your existing userID.

3 - When you post new threads, etc., it should post to your "Wall".

4 - Depending on your settings, you can get thread notifications, etc., on your FaceBook account.

Try it out and come back here to report any errors!

OK - totally cool, this works.
I logged out, and then logged in with the FaceBook Connect .... I didn't want a brand new account, so I choose the "use existing ID" ... etc.

Just replied to my first thread since doing so, and it asked me if I wanted to publish my response on my facebook feed - and boom, it worked.

Ok Fred, call me blond, but I don't get how to login from Facebook... I've been looking for a clue but, Duh!

You don't actually do it from FaceBook itself - if you logout of the forums (click the logout link in the top right corner), then you'll see a blue "FaceBook Connect" icon right under the normal login area in the top right corner. Click that, and you'll be on your way. Let me know if it works - since you already have an account, you'll want to use your existing userID, which is lytesource

When I clicked on the FB Connect icon it had me set up a new profile for TWC... so now I have two profiles on TWC. Drat! I would like to fix it so that I only have this profile on TWC, but not sure how to fix it.

freebygrace - yeah, actually, it gave you a choice - create a new userID, or use your existing one. I'll delete the new one for you, and you can do it again, and this time, choose your existing (original) ID.

Hey Ya'll,
Klampert also showed me how now, in the bottom right corner of your FaceBook window, the red "notifications" box (next to your online friends) constantly updates with which "friends" posted here.

Just testing the Facebook integaration

Currently if you click on the Facebook TWC it takes you to a blank page on FB. It would be nice to, like other applications, have some sort of blurb about TWC on that particular page so other FB-ers can get a quick download on what TWC is about.

Yeah - that's the way it's written - I asked about that and the progammer says you are never really supposed to "see" the app on FaceBook, whatever that means ... as long as the login still works, we're good ...for now.
