Hi visited several times - before it disappeared!

I found it an okay forum when it existed. However it had much different tone of wisdom. More members were fans of the worship scene than people who were charged with designing and leading worship (and subsequently leading people, etc) than you find here at TWC. It was good. The wisdom here is much more seasoned by the depth of experience than many here have. (Of course there were "Tomlin groupies" there too, which I know personally, Chris despises that concept.)

What an interesting place when you see people you know in many places with a focus on the Lord!

HI ALL!

NewMan checking in. I will be a worshipFreq till my last breath. There is one, Jesus, who is worthy of our praise. Nice to see a few of the wanderers here.

. I loved WorshipFrequescy.coms (http://fqworship.com/) resources and was so encouraged that some great stuff like song teaching videos was being made available to glean from. He changed the format to a subscription only thing. It used to be free but that's all in the past now.

Any thoughts on pay sites for worship leaders?

Yup, I do.

And the Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely.
It's Free. Thank You Jesus for paying the price. We can get the truth straight from You. Paid in Full.

I enjoyed the worship freq forum....i really miss it..there are things that I worked through during a very difficult time at my church and the freqs were so wonderful...now I want to update everyone and it is not there anymore...

....and so to grow we have to seperate ourselves from time to time. While we lived and loved in the community it was time to go.

Time to move forward into the darkness and show it the light.

I agree with Jordan...it was much less beneficial for me because it was full of people (mostly teens, it seemed) who were only in it for the "Tomlin Fan Club" aspect. There were some good discussions, but a lot less maturity than I find here.

Hey True Praise!!!!! and the rest of you freqs.:) I agree. It was a great place and it was very neat I think to see even youth jump in and join in the discussions we had. And yes once a freq always a freq!!!. But I am thankful Robert that you did find this site, it seems much like the other one and I am excited to join in when I can. God is good and His ways are higher then ours and I have been and will be blessed to continue to meet others from around the world who love this topic of worship and fellowship. I think I will learn even more and it will compliment what I have learned earlier.!!!!!!

maybe we can share what smilies we had??? we really have set a trend or could continue it.:D

Hey Gang,
I'm glad you guys found us, too ... I was also an occasional poster over at WorshipFrequency, and wondered why it just disappeared one day.

One thing that has really set TWC apart is the vast experience ... there's some great mentoring and training going on over here, with folks who are out there, everyday, "in the trenches" in local churches ... so it's been a huge blessing.

TruePraise

Yes, that is very true. And I like this forum a lot. It is just there was a group of us that posted real regular and had developed a bit of community together and just have not found that again yet...

Hey, I understand - check this out, you can create your own "Social Groups" right here in the forums - go to:
http://www.theworshipcommunity.com/forums/group.php

Click "Create New Group" - and create a group for all those old Freq' folks ... and invite them in!

TruePraise

So, I made the group, how do I find it from the main worship forum page?

fmckinnon
01-11-2009, 06:02 PM
it's under "Quick Links" - but I need to figure out a better way to get those more prominent .. stay tuned, and hassle me if you have to!

great idea, but from the front page how would one get to it quickly?

Again can`t wait to meet new people and get back into fellowshiping this way on a more regular basis.

Go to Quick Links....then to social groups....it should be there...

Right ... I will try to research how to make our Social Groups more visible.

Well, I just joined the social group. I still miss FREQuency, and I did enjoy talking with those younger (and older) than me, because it was an awesome opportunity to help the less experienced. I hope it is that way around here. I feel that just as we should never stop growing, we should never stop teaching others. God does not bring us through life just so we can grow closer to Him, but also so that we may help others grow closer to Him.

I really appreciate Worship Community allowing us to have our group and be part of their group too!

Amen....in my opinion WF was the best fellowship forum on the internet. The people there, both young and old really grew together in fellowship in very real ways. I am still very sorry that it is gone. But sometimes God has other plans than our own. When I get too old to talk and fellowship with younger people than myself....I think I just might falll over and die. A lot of thos 'young kids'...really helped 'me' to stop thinking like an old fart.

Thank You Lord, for a home for the wanderers, hope for the hopeless.
Hey people...we STILL have a job to do. There's still people out there who need to hear the 'Good News'....It looks like maybe we finally found a new clubhouse, now we can get back to learning together, to understand how to REALLY GET THIS JOB DONE. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

Good to hear from you again, Robert. I hear you had a meeting with the Kingdomseekers at the start of your travels? And you're travelling to Florida now?

It is indeed good to have a place to learn together again, because there's an awful lot to be done: you're right about that!

Robert
01-14-2009, 09:19 AM
Yup, Yup, Yup. And Yup. Kingdomseekers are cool, and it is a really pretty town where they live. This is awesome. I am sitting in a little coffee house in Key West right now. Been camping out in my little tent. Wow, Key West is cold today. I intend to go back to Kansas City, but there is a Latiin Guitarist here that is absolutely amazing....I want to try to learn a little from him before I go. He is also very humble and pleasant to talk to. I really want to learn to play like this. Dear Lord! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T7cbIT7Nxbw Also, I am going to visit with an old musician friend in Daytona Beach, and stop back on the way in New Orleans, I have some good work there. I am also hoping to find a mellow place to play some music here in Key West before I leave. I have a lot of old originals that I wrote years ago that are very 'Tiki Bar' type songs. I also have some worship songs that I could work in, and I think the touristas might enjoy. Amazing Grace always works anywhere...and I do a pretty good Reggae version of 'Just a closer walk with Thee'. However.....the next thing on my agenda today is a little bible study and some serious prayer, maybe on the beach.:D The very next thing is to find someplace to bathe.....yuk I smell like Lazarus
