Hi Everyone,

Great to be part of this community. I'm looking forward to learning a lot from, and hopefully contributing a lot to, this space!

I am a Methodist minister and Liturgical Consultant in South Africa. I travel a lot and help churches with all things related to their worship life. My main focus is enabling our worship to connect with the way we follow Christ everyday - moving worship "from the sanctuary to the street." This means I help churches to develop worship ministries and experiences that inspire, transform and challenge, that are thoughtful, relevant and excellent, and that invite all people into encounter with God.

I offer loads of resources for both contemporary and traditional worship through my website - www.sacredise.com (in process of being upgraded). I am a musician, teacher, speaker, writer and theologian, and my passion is to cut across the differences that separate us by integrating the many streams of Christian heritage, theology and practice.

I look forward to getting to know you all better.

Blessings
John

John, good to meet you. I'm taking my students to Durban, South Africa this Monday. I'm really excited. We're working with the ministries of Missions Ablaze and Tinus Lindique. Maybe you've heard of him?

Thanks for the greetings, guys. Good to be with you.

Rob, I have heard of Missions Ablaze, but I don't know a lot of detail. Durban is a great city, although it was a bit battered by storms and big waves a few weeks ago. It's one of our most popular vacation spots, and the beaches are great. You'll experience some of the richness and some of the deep poverty of Africa while you're here, I'm sure. It's certain to be a life changing experience for you. enjoy!

Fred, is there an RSS feed available for this forum? I tried to subscribe with my reader, but it wouldn't pick up the feed that was given in the faq pages.

Thanks again!

Blessings
John

John,
I'm glad you asked .. as a RSS guy myself (Google Reader is my homepage) ... that would be awesome feature. I did some checking in the Admin Control Panel, and it's supported - it just had to be turned on. So now, YES - you can pull the entire board - just load the homepage and click the RSS icon in the browser.
