When I first heard this song I felt like I was sitting at the feet of Jesus
just as it says in Revelation. It moved me to tears...to think that we
will some day be in the presence of the MOST HIGH GOD. I truely believe
we will sing this song! "HOLY HOLY IS HE" right from the scriptures.
Like El Ben says the chord progression is great and moves our spirit into
a greater awareness of God's presence.
check it out if you haven't already.

Just for the sake of avoiding multi-threading the same topic, we should probably continue this thread here. (http://www.theworshipcommunity.com/forums/showthread.php?t=49)

I don't really have a favorite but I try to be current every month by teaching a new worship song to the congregation. This month we did "Hallelujah Your Love Is Amazing". I also do some of my original songs as well.

So do you play the newly introduced song for 4 weeks in a row? Or just the one time then go back to it the next month in a rotation?

Several years ago when I lead worship at The Vineyard I played the new song for several weeks in a row. Where I am at now I have not tried it. I try to
focus my songs around the Pastor's message topic.

Right now we are learning "Enough" by Tomlin and Giglio. I did it last week in the moring service and then again in the evening worship set. I don't think it is necessary to to do a new song 4 weeks in a row during every service, but 4times during a 2 week period gets them pretty familiar so that when we bring it back in another week or so, they'll still remember it. My problem is I get tired of the songs sooner than everyone else.

Tonight at worship practice we worked on "Let The Church Rise" and "Revelation Song." The band did fine. We listen to it 2 times and then worked on parts. We will do this several weeks before we refine it for a service. Our musicians are still learning a few things.
I also do the worship for our youth ministry. We've been working on lots of new songs. It seems the young people can accept the new stuff quicker. We're doing: Rescue, Give us clean hands, His Love, One Way,
Tell the world, Have your way, and many others.

I find it best to do a song 3 to 4 times in 5 weeks, at least one of those times as either a "Walk In" or "Special Music" - after that, as long as the song is brought back into use at least once ever month or 2 months it's usually part of the church's songlist.

Thanks Lewis, I didn't know if I was doing new songs too often.

I have to agree with Lewis. When I put in a new worship song the very first time it is either a solo or the entire team will sing it. The next week we do it but only bring the congregation in on the choruses. We skip the third week and then on the fourth week everyone sings the entire song. When we skip the third week I have had members come to me to share how much the song touched them and that they were disappointed that we all didn't sing it together on the third week. They have learned my pattern but still let me know when they like it.
