I just purchased ProPresenter, and so far it looks like a pretty simple deal. I'm looking forward to figuring it all out. Unfortunately I'm figuring it all out on my own  I'm switching from PC based software to Mac based software and hoping to be able to achieve the same set up I have now. I will have an iMac in our sanctuary where I will run our presentations from. I have my macBookPro in my office which is where I would like to to all the prep work from with a server in the middle that will store and share the data between the two machines. Is there an easy way to do all of this? My tech knowledge is just enough to make me slightly dangerous :)

yea man. I think you got it down. on each computer, just set (in the preferences) what path pro presenter will choose to look for each file. and then save each presentation somewhere on the server where you can access it from the other computer.

ProPresenter is not set up to run with it's library served/shared. I believe it even says that on Renewed Vision's website.
You can locate the database file that is used by Pro in the Application Support folder but there is not a way to force another instance of Pro to find a different database file, it is an automatic path.
There are two options basically. Option one, which we do, is to setup the presentation on our worship director's computer and then transfer it by export/import onto the presentation computer. It takes about an extra 1 minute a week to do this. We actually "send" the presentation through PlanningCenterOnline. Occasionally we make a full library export of the presentation computer to make sure that our other computers have matching libraries.
Option two, which I wouldn't try, is this: write a script or something that automatically copies the database file from one computer to the other at some predetermined time or whatever.
Hope this helps. If you have questions about how to share that export let me know.
