I am the drummer at Calvary Baptist Church here in Marion, Va. We are nestled in the mountains of Southwest Virginia.

I have been a church drummer for twenty plus years. I bought the Roland V-drum TD-10 Kit when it first came out and loved it. I have since bought the TD-20 Kit and there has been a host of improvements over the first model. I love the fact that I have so many drum kits to choose from, and I have used as many as four kits in one song.

Our church is experiencing the move to contemporary worship. Most of my drumming career has been in the contemporary genre. However, there is some resistance but PRAISE GOD, the pastor is pushing it. We have very few musicians and I am mostly stuck with midi sequences. I have purchased midi arrangements from Sound Creations (they are great) but it is beginning to hurt my wallet. Does anyone in this forum have a site that I could download quality Christian contemporary midi music?

May God Bless you all in everything you do for HIM.

Tom

Hey Tom ...

Thanks for posting - great to have you. I used to do quite a bit with MIDI a long time ago, but haven't arranged anything in a long time ... I know how frustrating that can be .. I used to get files from Music Mansion.

You may want to take some time and start exploring some of the loops based options out there - like GarageBand on the mac, or Reason/Ableton Live.

Someone else had suggested a specific forum here for that type of stuff - something I may need to do soon ...

Thanks!
FRED

Fred, thank you so much for your reply. I use Cakewalk Sound Creator and it has taken me quite sometime to get aquainted with it. Seems as though I have a long learning curve for this type of software. I appreciate your recommendations and will certainly look into them. Again thanks...
