Billy Chia from Evansville, Indiana

Sent here by Los (http://www.ragamuffinsoul.com)and his Ragamuffin Soul Podcast (http://www.ragamuffinsoul.com/?p=1852). If you haven't already, check out this great worship blog.

Inept as Icing (http://www.billychia.com) is my blog and personal contribution to the worship/faith/church conversation. Drop by and comment to tell me if you love it or hate it.

Right now I'm looking for a local church job in the worship/arts/multimedia field.

To be honest I've had several sour church jobs before and the experience left me bruised and broken. For a while I was ready to give up. I currently support my family as a waiter in an Italian restaurant. However, God's got this uncanny way of healing our hearts. So here I am ready to jump back on my bike and peddle harder than ever with scraped knees and all.

I am playing guitar now as a volunteer on the worship team at an absolutely fabulous church (http://www.onlinecfc.com). (But I also do a lot of vocals, drums, bass, keys, web design and photography)

God bless and I'm looking forward to some good conversation here.

Dude, welcome. I look forward to hearing some awesom stuff from you. It's always cool to get input from someone who sees things from a media/tech and worship perspective at the same time. Good luck on the job hunt, too! I'm sure God will bring you something that will blow your mind.

I pray God opens the right doors for you in ministry, and look forward to more dialog and community with you here on TWC.

For the Kingdom,

BTW, read your blog and ABSOLUTELY agree with the whole "less is more." philosophy, especially muscially.

And yes, Moby's website is very clean and pretty, but then Moby always was a minimalist. Did you see his house on "Cribs?"

Didn't see Moby's house. I don't watch TV. But that's an episode I'd like to check out.
Thanx for saying, "hi." I realized I signed up and now I'm slacking on posting... I'm busy with a few projects but I promise I'll be breaking in to the community here with some commentary soon.
