Greetings all... I guess this is the post where I blab on about myself...
My name is Tony Green, and I am a husband, father, and guitar player, and in my spare time, I have a "real job" with a desk and everything (sigh).
I've been married to my best friend for 11 years. We have two wonderful children (ages 5 and 9), and we currently live in Columbus, OH. Our family relocated from the Los Angeles area to Columbus last summer. I'm originally from Lincoln, NE, so any attempts from the local Buckeye faithful to convert me have been rejected with a loud "GO BIG RED!".
On the musical side of things (since that is what we talk about here), I've been playing guitar for, oh, 17 years now. I led worship off and on in CA for about 9 years. I also had the opportunity to play in a band you've never heard of for about 5 years, and have been blessed to play on a number of studio and/or live worship recordings in various settings. These days I am playing guitar at Life Community Church in Hilliard, OH, and having a blast.
I run a silly little blog called Fingerpainting 101 (http://fingerpainting101.blogspot.com/) where we kick around worship music issues / concerns, and where I post audio from our services and point out all the times that I overplay or just flat miss the chords. All are welcome; stop on by and chime in.
I have a pretty simple mission statement... which I stole from House of Blues... help ever, hurt never.
Looking forward to getting to know everyone...
TG
