Until now all I knew of Tom Lane was that he co-wrote the song "Where Angels Fear To Tread" with Matt Redman but this CD really puts Tom on the map. You can hear the Matt Redman influence throughout this recording which features both songs for personal worship time and songs that have a congergation appeal. Tom has good, sound lyrics, melodies that are catchy, and a smooth strong voice.
All of the songs on this CD are very good and my favorites include King Jesus, Mighty Breath Of God, When Love Was Crucified, Darkness of the Soul, and my favorite, A New Song.
I give this CD a 4 1/2 out of 5 star rating and recomend buying this entire CD. But if you want to just get 1 song to see if you like Tom's sound, download A New Song . Any fan of Matt Redman and Tim Hughes is sure to be a fan of Tom Lane.
