My name is Matthew and I'm the worship pastor from Uprising Church in Nashville, TN. The church just launched in January of this year, and wow, what a challenge. My wife (Chelsea) and I moved here from Pine Bluff, Arkansas to help launch the church.
We served as interns under my dad at a our home church. I lead worship, play sax, and play keys and Chel plays guitar and is my theory whiz. She's my heart beat and I can't do much without her. Our passion is intimate worship full of people singing their own hearts to God.
No matter what anyone says, there's no glory in being a portable church...if you're thinking about it, email me and I'll try to convince you that it's a bad idea. J/K! It's a challenge, but when 14 people are baptized 4 months into it, you know it's all worth it.
