Hi, I'm Greg Reddin. I am a sound tech and musician at Fellowship Bible Church of Conway, AR. I've been mixing sound and such for about 10 years and playing music at some level since I was about 9 - more than 10 years ago :-)

My "day job" is a Java programmer. I still can't really decide what I want to be when I grow up. I love programming, music, sound, technical arts, and theology. Maybe one day I'll find a job that encompasses all of them. In my software life I'm involved in several Apache (http://www.apache.org) projects. I blog (occasionally) here (http://jroller.com/page/greddin).

At church we are currently building a new auditorium that should be complete by late summer. I've been heavily involved in that, which has been both fun and challenging.

I've been married for 10 years (in about 2 weeks) and am anxiously awaiting the birth of our fourth child. Things have certainly been busy! Looking forward to fellowshiping with this community.

Welcome bro! Java? If you code in Java, do you actually drink it? I am from Silicon Valley, so I know only the bad techie jokes. Please forgive!

Hey Greg -

Welcome to the Community! Look forward to your input and sharing some ideas - probably lots of stuff in the Audio area you'd like!

Congrats on the upcoming anniversary and birth. We celebrated the birth of our 4th child in April, and will be celebrating 9 nears of marriage in August.

I don't do Java, but I do own a web hosting co (http://www.hppchristianhosting.com) ... so, sounds like we have lots in common!!

God bless ya,
Fred

Yep, I'm brewing some up as we speak :-)

Let me know if you ever add server-side Java support to your hosting options. I've been looking for a good Java hosting company that didn't cost an arm and a leg.

Hey,
The only thing we have is Tomcat running on RHEL3 or 4 in Plesk .. and we never could get it to work, so we disabled it!

Oh yeah, I had one of those, too, but I had to give it up when I got my subspace frequency modulator. We used that to replace the thingamajig that was regulating the whatchamacallit.

Translation: I have no clue what you guys are talking about, but it sounds smart! Welcome, Greg.
