Let's talk about what's happening now in praise and worship albums. Who are you listening to? What is it that caught your interest.... Discuss.

Still diggin' on the last Vineyard disc, "Stand in Awe" & Matt Redman's "Beautiful News", more than anything else.

Otherwise, I've been listening to a LOT of Copeland's latest, Mute Math, a little Norma Jean ("Redeemer", in particular) as well the excellent debut by After Edmund.

Gotta appreciate Delirious... been around forever but still doing it right.

Newer on the scene is Deluge, a personal favorite for their fresh sound... energetic in praise, sincere in worship.

And I agree about Matt Redman.. though it's not really new, I cant get through "Nothing but the Blood" without being blown away at the lyrical content.

The peace and quiet with only the smooth sound of the humming disk of my DVR taking down episode after episode of the First 48...my new favorite show....

i love Deluge.... to me they are tops right now when it comes to lyrics...well lyrics and sound! its definately something fresh on the scene. Rarely do you find something that you love to worship to in church, and jam to in your car.

i enjoy a bit of planetshakers here and there as well and gotta give the british some props... Matt Redman and martin smith.... but for this thread deluge is my default. check em out delugeband.com i think they have a myspace w/music or you can look up their fun videos on youtube.

Currently I am listening to Spontaneous Praise Featuring Norman Hutchins.

17 Tracks in all. From it's your season to hold on,He's been good to me, and Rest In You!

What can I say about all the songs on this CD!

If you don't have this Music I am sure your going to want to get it. It's has some great songs for Praise and worship.

I am also listening to the London Community Gospel Choir live from Abbey Road.

I just got the CD "Worth Dying For" from Worship Tools. It is a great CD. They remind of Skillet but with a more worshipful feel. Highly recommend it!

We've been doing a lot from the "Greater Things" album by Bluetree. For those that haven't found them yet they are the ones that wrote "God of this City" that Tomlin/Passion has been working so heavily. The entire album is REALLY well done and chock full of some meat. They do a great version of "When I Survey" as well!

At this second I am listening to "In Your Freedom" by Hillsong United. I've just been turned onto a song by John Mark McMillan called "How He Loves" that's amazing...you should check out the story behind it as well on Youtube. I've also been listening to The Chris Orr Band lately. We just had them at an event Sunday night...not quite mainstream, but some really great stuff. I'm planning on doing several of their songs including "Beautiful News" and "All That I Need."
