What is everyone doing for Christmas? What songs, special music, and so on are you guys doing for Christmas? I have to be honest, this is my favorite time of year. So many theologically accurate songs full of such deep truth. My wife and I are decorating for Christmas tonight and we put on some Christmas hymns. I keep blubbering like an idiot every other song that comes on. To think that the infinite God of all creation, clothed in majesty and splendor would come to earth, become human, live a perfect life and die for His enemies so that they would become his people is too much for me to consider without breaking down in tears. It is just amazing to think that God who is Spirit touched time and space in the person of His Son. The infinite experienced the finite on our behalf. It is just amazing. Praise God!!!!

Anyway, what are you guys doing this Christmas?

I'm inviting everyone in The Worship Community to our house for Christmas dinner.

Maybe I better check with my wife first.

But seriously, folks, we do a lot of the traditional Christmas hymns/carols, but usually simplify the chord structure so that average guitarists can actually play them.

Last year we did (and probably will aagain this year) Paul Baloche's "Christmas Offering", which is "Offering" with a new first verse.

We're going to Gulf Breeze, FL to be with the Hodges' and Pooley's, since the invite is there now.
