I am new to the cyber worship community. I notice that lots of you have your own websites with blogs and resources and such. What is the best way to start something like this up? Just register a url and go for it or can it be done on "godspace" or "myspace" etc? I think it is something I would like to do but don't want to get bogged down in it.

I recommend using one of the free services such as wordpress.com or blogger.com. Their UIs (user interface) are both easy to follow and a good place to start. If you want your own domain though you'd need to register it and either buy hosting for your "stuff" or redirect it to one of the free services.

Personally, I pick Wordpress over blogger. But I use blogger since it's integrated into my google set of tools.

I wouldn't use myspace, I'd go ahead and set up a blog blog.

I totally agree about WordPress. Please don't use MySpace (grin) ... you have to wade through so much JUNK to get to see what you want. (and in the process, you have to see plenty you DON'T want to see).

WordPress.Com (free) works great ... because you can blog with it, but you can also add additional pages (about me, my ministry, etc) easily.

Wordpress is what ALL the cool guys use (including us). Typepad is okay but doesn't have the flexibility.
