Hey, I was inspired to ask this in the thread about tube screamer pedals, but didn't want to hijack it...lol. Anyways, I've been thinking of getting a Floor-Pod XT for awhile. I will be using it for mainly worship services (but maybe for some recording too) either directly into the soundboard or through a miced Line 6 Spider II Amp. What are your opinions/experiences with it? Do you think it's worth the $400?
Thanks

I would say absolutely get one, I have had one for several months now and they are worth every penny. I can't think of anything negative to say about them, and most of the time when other people say negative things about them, they aren't really saying negative about the pod, but rather saying positive things about analog pedals and tube amps.
So yeah, I would highly suggest getting one, Your not gonna find anything better for the price in my opinion.Speaking of price, they just released the POD X3 Live, so you might be able to get one for significantly cheaper than $400.

So, Did you buy one? I want a review asap. I use a digitech 220 and have fun playing with the settings and the pre sets but its not easy to use during live situations.
I want the best overdrive, delay and chorus options but i want them to be easily adjusted during worship.
got any insight?

Yeah, I got one and I absolutely love it. It's got tons of sound options and amp models and they are all highly customizable. It's really easy to learn to use too. I don't know if it beats an amp live, but you can't really tell a difference in a recording. On the simple (not very produced, just a post fade aux output from board) of a gig my band did last weekend, my electric guitar actually sounded better than the other guitarist's who used a Peavy XLS with some analog pedals. The only thing I wish they would have added would be a seperate volume control for the headphone output, and an easier switch between volume or wah pedal. Overall I'm really glad I got it. It was definately worth it for me, since I didn't have any analog pedals. So, now I have all the ones I'll need. It has different output modes- like if you're playing at church through the PA or recording direct, it has a mic "air movement" simulator. Or you can leave it alone and run through a real amp or whatever. It's awesome!

sounds a lot like my digitech unit. it comes with a pedal to use for things like amp level, amp gain, chorus, flange or wah effect/amount. but its difficult to change settings when used live. and difficult to set up for solos during a song. ie switching from clean to overdrive mid stream. But I do like the sounds and amp modeling. I run direct into the mixer and do not use it mic'ed to an amp. This model digitech doesn't do loop effects or recording but does have 40 or so drum patterns and an mp3 plug in.
You have a good point on separate volume controls for headphones. I would like a volume control for the headphone, one for the actual processor and one for the jam along feature when i plug in i pod.
