This just came up this weekend for us ... I say ABSOLUTELY ... it's the last you can do for these volunteers who give so much time, effort, and energy into the ministry. We budget for guitar strings, batteries, and the like.

In addition, we try to have a pretty good spread of food and drink for our team on Sunday AM's. Granted, we have 3 services which requires them to be here from 7:00 AM through about 12:15 ... but because of an awesome schedule of volunteers, we have breakfast, juices, coffee, etc., served in our "green room" (a fancy term for mine, chris, and travis' office) on Sunday AM.

Our church has really gone the extra mile for the team. We also have food catered in on Tuesday evenings for our rehearsal time - nothing fancy, usually I pickup some "Larry's Subs", "Quiznos" or we'll sometimes have some Dominos pizza delivered. About once per quarter, I'll take the team out to Outback after rehearsal.

It's safe to say this is not realistic for many budgets, but I'm just honored that our church has made blessing the praise and worship team a high priority item in the budget. They work really hard and give up a LOT of volunteer time, all day long on Sunday, and on Tuesday nights.

For the Kingdom
Fred
