FaceBook Integration for TWC

February 9, 2009

facebook_picPRESS RELEASE:  TheWorshipCommunity.Com Announces FaceBook Integration
February 9, 2009 – St. Simons Island, GA

TheWorshipCommunity.Com, (TWC) a popular online portal for those involved in worship ministry, has completed testing and integration between their online discussion forums and FaceBook.Com, the popular social networking site.

“The last thing people need these days is to remember another login to another site.  Integration of the FaceBook Connect technology on TheWorshipCommunity.Com gives our users the ability to login with their FaceBook credentials and post TheWorshipCommunity.Com related materials back to their FaceBook Profile” says Fred McKinnon, Founder of TheWorshipCommunity.Com.

With the integration, new visitors to TheWorshipCommunity.Com’s community forums can immediately login and engage in discussions with others in areas of music, worship, leadership, arts, prayer, technology, and other subjects.  When a member creates a new discussion or replies to an existing discussion they have the option to allow that discussion to be posted on their FaceBook profile.

The new integration is also available for existing members of “TheWorshipCommunity.Com” who already have a UserID and account.  Those members of TheWorshipCommunity.Com can use the “FaceBook Connect” login and link their FaceBook account to their existing UserID and immediately share their information on FaceBook as well.

Specific details on how to join or integrate your existing TWC Membership can be found in the discussion forums at:

“Since integration of the FaceBook Connect technology, we have seen a large increase in traffic from FaceBook.Com and a reciprocal exchange of traffic back to FaceBook and our Fans and Group page” shared McKinnon.

Another application that enables communication between TheWorshipCommunity.Com and FaceBook is TWC’s Twitter.Com account (@theworshipcomm).  “Twitter has been an invaluable tool in making connections with people from around the world, as well as providing a dynamic opportunity to have live interaction with people in online networks that we otherwise wouldn’t have access to”, says Russ Hutto, dubbed TWC’s “Twitter Ambassador”.  Using Twitter allows us to interact in quick, real-time ways by posting polls, questions, and auto-posting new article and forum links.  This information can also update the pages on FaceBook, creating a powerful network of followers and users with updated communication.

TheWorshipCommunity.Com continues to publish relevant articles and is the host to hundreds of active discussions ranging from worship leadership, church service reviews, technology, faith, and the arts.
