[Music News]: Elevation Worship Releases Double Album 2.19.13

elevationworshipElevation Worship is releasing a new album “Nothing Is Wasted” today, February 19, 2013. It is a double album and includes 12 brand new congregational worship songs recorded live, as well as studio versions of the same songs with a completely new expression, instrumentation, and arrangement. This project also Includes a new recorded version of “Give Me Faith” as a bonus track.

We love the idea of a double album, especially two that contain the SAME SONGS! Different versions of a song is a great idea, especially in the worship space, because it allows the listener to approach the song from two different perspectives. It’s our thought that this can only lead to a more creative expression of these songs in each individual church.

Our friends, All About Worship, Rich Kirkpatrick and Joel Klampert each have great full reviews of this project.

From AllAboutWorship.com:

“Elevation Worship’s new double CD is meditative. It allows cavernous spaces for the listener to meditate upon an unchanging God who is full of grace, mercy, redemption, and love: a God who is worthy to be followed. The tracks on this double CD can calm you on your drive home from a hectic and stressful day at work. They can fill you with joy as you drink a cup of coffee in the cool of a summer morning while you sit on your deck to consider the blessings bestowed upon you.” [Read full review...]

From Joel at Klampert.com:

“…I feel like THIS is the album that I was waiting for.”

“…I believe there is power in the word and our declaring of the GREATNESS of God and this album is chock full of that.” [Read full review...]

From Rich at RKWeblog.com:

“Clearly, this group of local worship leaders models some things I hope spread beyond the songs. For one, they write the songs out of their local ministry experiences. Second, they are mentored and birthed from a local church. And, after meeting these guys a few times I know they are the real deal. This sincerity comes across in their new recording.” [Read full review...]
