Kingdom of Priests – Priesthood of Kings!

    July 1st, 2009

new-kings-crownThese are two powerful principles taught to us by the Holy Spirit and the Word of God.
First, we are a kingdom of priests:
Rev. 5:9,10 (my paraphrase) You have redeemed them from every tribe and tongue by Your Blood and have made them to be a kingdom and priests to our God and they shall reign on the earth!

    Jazz Livin’

    June 3rd, 2009

jazz-it-up-iI was having coffee at Starbuck’s with a friend and fellow musician today when the conversation turned to one of his favorite jazz recordings: Herbie Hancock and Chick Corea doing a lot of improvisation- free flowing spontaneity within a very loosely sketched, skeletal arrangement.

    Living From Glory

    January 27th, 2009

the_lion_king_1994If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation, old things are passed away- behold all things are new! (2 Cor. 5:17,18)

Once again I am reminded of the two statements that Mufasa the Lion King thundered from the heavens to his struggling son Simba, who was at the crossroads of default or destiny:

    The Gift of Imagination

    December 3rd, 2008

Imagination is one of the most precious and powerful gifts we have received from our Creator. It is, tragically, also one of the most neglected. The New Sound

    November 6th, 2008

There have been many words given over the last 20 years or so about a “New Sound” being released in the earth.

I believe those words are true and I believe that the sounds from heaven are even now filling the earth.

    Butterflies Walking?

    October 21st, 2008

“For anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from his own work, just as God did from his. ~Hebrews 4:10 NIV

One time I told a friend’s mother, (who was obviously stressed out about a lot of different things in her life) that Jesus said that we could come to Him and rest, to learn of Him and to take His yoke upon us for His “yoke is easy and His burden is light”. She responded: “That’s for after you die! I don’t want to die yet!”

    The Generosity Of God

    October 7th, 2008

Patterns of thinking become ingrained after just a short time. I grew up with the concept that God was a harsh, demanding taskmaster that would only accept perfection- then dole out punishment when the inevitable failure happened.
