Private Worship Prepares You For Corporate Worship

Thanks to Rob Rash for sharing these thoughts with TWC.

Did you realize that your corporate worship is only an overflow of your private worship?

It’s true. If we are only worshiping while we are having rehearsal or Sunday morning services, something is wrong.

Private worship (meaning personal worship outside of the church) is the necessary fuel for strong and passionate corporate worship. [Read more...]

God-given Dreams: The Process Might Be More Important Than The End Result (Matt Reed)

Thanks to Matthew Reed for sharing this encouragement with TWC today.

Our culture wants us to produce, produce, produce. We live in a very high paced society and our culture has groomed us into being a factory of production. Many people like me are very driven. We like to succeed and succeed quickly. The taste of success is the “high” that we terribly desire over the process. You Tell Us: The “Win” In Worship Ministry

We’ve heard over the years that a “win” is something to aim for in ministry (and anything really). We’ve been encouraged to define the win, shoot for the win, and celebrate the win! This is a great concept and one that is simple and really easy to apply in our organizations.

Today, we want YOU the COMMUNITY to tell us what your win is. What does it look like? How do you clarify it for your teams? How do you keep your teams engaged in pursuing those wins? How do you celebrate them?

Are You A DJ Or A Worship Leader?

I’ve been in church my entire life. I’ve had many different perspectives and experiences in all kinds of churches and settings. At an early age I knew that God was calling me to be a church leader, and more specifically, a worship leader. An important part of being a worship leader is heading up the song selection for weekly worship services. Click here to read a previous post on my song selection philosophy.

In this post, I want to compare song selection from two different perspectives: a DJ and a Worship Leader. [Read more...]

Dear Worship Leaders,

I have a question.

Do you ever feel like a hired hand performing a gig?

The sheer technology and pressure of leading worship can be a heavy burden,  skewing the focus of your heart and mind as you lead.

Today’s typical worship leader wears a lot of hats. [Read more...]
